KIP, SKIP-1, SKIP-2

SKIP-1, SKIP-2 are the posts of permanent test stations which commutate measurement and power circuits of electrochemical protection devices, they measure the differential and polarized potentials, here troubleshooting devices are connected, and protected underground facilities, utilities, reservoirs are monitored. The equipment is used to control the quality of electrochemical protection system in gas, oil and other areas. More than 100 different models of the posts are used at the cathodic protection stations, for the route, anodic and drainage test stations. Post Design

A post consists of a steel tube part, footing plate, tube welded panels with the measurement and power terminals, a hinged cover. The latter hides terminal panels. The cover has two sloping planes to apply the identification details and two locks to close the panels. Terminal panels are designed with different numbers of the terminals to vary the combinations of power and measurement terminals. A terminal set can be both standard and customized depending on the equipment maintenance. A Post SKIP-1 with the standard combination and number of the terminals has up to 24 measurement and up to 8 power terminals; measurement + power terminals – 12+4. Standard combination and number of terminals for SKIP 2 are up to 48 measurement and up to 16 power terminals; measurement + power terminals – 24+8. Post weights vary from 23 up to 32 kg, and its heights differ from 2 to 2.5 m. SKIP is equipped with additional lights, if any, which is necessarily written in the device documentation.
